Christmas 2023 The Christmas Function was held on Wednesday 13th August 2023 at Dun Mhuire. starting at 8 pm. Legionaries enjoyed a turkey and ham supper followed by dessert and tea/coffee, and then there was a sing song and a lucky dip. Members were asked to bring something for the Lucky Dip. Nearly everyone went home with a prize. Music was supplied by the Glenville boys, and was most enjoyable. Thank you to Br. Pat Walsh and his team for organising this great event.
Summer Outing to Glenville took place on Friday the 4th of August at 6.30 pm with a Rosary at Carraig an Aifreann in Glenville, followed by Mass in the Parish Church, and refreshment and music in the Family Centre. It was a lovely event, attended by many Legionaries, and hosted by the local Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Praesidium, who made everyone feel most welcome. The Rosary was a very special experience in the beautiful location of the Mass Rock.
The Acies of Cork Comitium took place on Friday 24th March 2023 at 7.30 pm in the Church of the Ascension, Gurranabraher, Cork. The Immaculate Conception Praesidium kindly hosted.
We call to mind our late brother, Bernard Spillane, who was a member of the Immaculate Conception Presidium, and also a Comitium Officer, for many years, and whose death took place in December 2023. May eternal light shine upon him, may he rest in peace.
